This was a gift for friends who had a wonderful afternoon tea. The food & service was excellent. This is a impressive place with lovely grounds. Highly recommend New Place Hotel.

New place is a lovely building and the afternoon teas were held in a very nice room. The service not quite so lovely! We were not offered any special tea just breakfast tea. Had to ask for milk! The tea arrived a good ten minutes before the sandwiches and cakes, which were very nice. At no time were we asked if we wanted more tea, which I thought was not good for an afternoon tea! Wouldn’t go again

The instructions on where exactly to go are not clear and there didn’t appear to be many staff around to ask
The afternoon tea was lovely, well presented and tasty. More than brought for 2 people

Good venue and food was very good. The only issue was that they forgot our order and we had to wait for over an hour for our food. Once we complained they were very apologetic, but it didn’t end up being a great birthday treat.
