Bought a Groupon for the 'pamper package' and it wasn't the pleasant experience I'd hoped for. The owner seemed furious when I presented my Groupon, complaining about how little he'd make from it. I was ready to walk and claim a refund, but he told me he would honour it although he claimed he'd asked Groupon to cancel the deal. Throughout my haircut, shave and desultory massage he ranted about Groupon taking 40%, terms he'd presumably agreed to when he signed up. I was made to feel I'd done something wrong by taking up the offer and as a result I won't be back. If I went to buy a washing machine from John Lewis I wouldn't expect to be subjected to a rant about their profits being at an all-time low when paying for it; that sort of thing is clearly not the customer's concern. I'll give him 4 stars for the barber element, but -10 for customer service.
