Lovely venue and excellent ser
Very friendly staff. Great setting.
We were really looking forward to our afternoon tea.
The table was neatly set when we arrived and although a little cramped, we were comfortable.
Unfortunately we were disappointed. Although fairly tasty, there was little food (we left unsatisfied). Tiny sandwiches (you could only have one flavour, not a mixture). Cakes which looked like children had made them. Tea was limited to one small pot.
Wonderful service and delicious food and drink! Beautifully decorated tea room, we were warm and snug in the bay window watching the world go by.
It was a horrible rainy day and hard to park in Rye, but we finally arrived at The Outlook Tearoom at The Hope Anchor hotel and we were greeted by very friendly staff.
Very kind and attentive staff and it made a lovely afternoon out for my Mum’s 80th.

Delightful tea room within the hotel. A choice of fresh sandwiches, lovely scone with jam and cream and a generous selection of cakes all served on vintage china. The service was friendly and welcoming. A charming treat in a lovely town.
Beautiful view, lovely little hotel but in all honesty the afternoon tea was dire, the only thing homemade were the scons and they were almost inedible more like an old fashioned rock cake but dryer the rest of the cakes were mr kiplings or bought from cash and carry frozen, total shame as the place is so sweet definitely a missed opportunity as I would definitely have been a regular customer.
