The Paddocks Hotel is located in Herefordshire in the middle of the Wye Valley. The restaurant offers views of the river, woods and private gardens. Guests can indulge in a variety of dishes such as soups, a range of grill options and sides including seasonal vegetables.
Groupon listed the location as Oxford. And stated there was as spa and evening meal included.
So I made my purchase for what I thought was a hotel In oxford
It was until I checked my voucher I was surprised to find this hotel is near Wales
This hotel was clean.
No spa, No social ameanaties
The lounge looks like something from a retirement nursing home
Food menu poor selection of food
Knife and forks placed the wrong way around on tables
Rub down and in serious need of a make over. Bed ridiculously uncomfortable.
Paid extra for a king size room
It was two single beds pushed together with
One bed side table , room looked a bit tired along wit the rest of the hotel .
Only thing that was any good was the food at breakfast and the evening meal .
Would not recommend
Lovely food and lots of it! The only negative - the drinks are so expensive. £3.50 for a pint of lime and soda!!
The food was delicious and there was plenty of it. The only down side was the cost of additional drinks.
Needs bring up to date ! Food not the best !
The food was good but the service was not very efficient. The room was ok but the shower was hopeless.
I purchased a two course meal for two via Groupon for 17.50 and the meal was fine. At the end though the manager said this was only a contribution to the meal and charged me another 8.60. The trouble is none of this was said before we sat down and as the Lady I was with and I were on a special day complaining then I felt would spoil the meal. So please be aware this Groupon voucher does not deliver what it says it will and I trust a refund of my 8.60 will now be given to me.

This hotel has really gone down hill, don't go there!!
The Hotel itself is dire, chesterfield type chairs in the lounge had no sides, looked as though they were all in the middle of being renovated but no-one came near the three days we were there. and the rooms aren't much better. Lights went out at night and no one around to tell. I have to say the food was lovely but they overcharged us when we had dinner and the manager was quite an obnoxious guy. Because we had desserts instead of starters he was wanting to charge us £30 more than what we had already paid to the hotel and also to Groupon. It was a bad experience to which I would recommend anyone not to go to The Paddocks Hotel
