Dating back to 1812, with deep roots in the seaside town of Troon, The Anchorage Hotel peeks out across the West coast to the distant Isle of Arran. With more than eight golf courses in the nearby area, reachable in under a 20-minute drive, this venue may serve as a starting point for beginners, amateurs and professionals alike. This hotel welcomes guests to spacious en suite rooms, some with views over the Arran Isle, each named after a malt whisky, keeping up with the Scottish theme of this abode. Traditional dishes of fresh locally sourced produce are served in a restaurant featuring wood panelled walls and roaring fires. The hotel bar provides a more informal setting, where guests may relax over a refreshing drink selected from a wide list of malt whiskies and fine wines, accompanied by light snacks.
