A wonderful afternoon tea. The sandwiches were really fresh and the toasties a nice difference to normal….. and wonderful scones and cakes. The staff were really friendly and helpful and a nice ambience in the restaurant. Would most definitely recommend

The ambiance of this small restaurant is very nice and the food is decent however the level of customer service is not what you’d expect. We booked afternoon tea and upon arrival I requested if we could have vegetarian, we were told we should’ve informed them beforehand despite there being no mention of this from my memory. I had also been emailing the venue for our booking and no one had asked. I have been to many afternoon teas before and upon being seated a server always asks if there are any dietary requirements or allergies they should be aware of. We were told it wouldn’t be possible as they would need to buy alternative food to accommodate. Once our food arrived we were then told there was no cream to go with the scones… surely they should be at least sourcing the ingredients they know they need for any afternoon tea!! To top it all off the tone of voice used by staff came across quite rude and hostile. I had simply asked if we get scones with our meal as they hadn’t arrived yet and the waitress was very blunt and rude in her response. Overall, this has been the worst afternoon tea experience I have had and will not be returning.
