New riders can receive compulsory basic training to learn how to safely use motorbikes or scooters on the road
What You'll Get
Taught over one day, the compulsory basic training (CBT) course aims to teach participants how to safely ride a moped or motorcycle on public roads. The course features practical training on-site and on roads, with the hire of a motorcycle or scooter, complete with helmet, included. Starting with an introduction to the CBT, the session moves on to areas such as basic machine and maintenance checks, clutch control, balance and low-speed manoeuvrability. A road-riding section aims to touch on various traffic scenarios while the student maintains radio contact with an instructor riding behind. Participants are encouraged to bring along their own gloves and jackets, although both items are available to hire for the duration of the day for a £5 surcharge each.
Bikestrobe Rider Training boasts a team of instructors who aim to share their knowledge with riders of all abilities and experience levels. New riders can enrol on a CBT course, while more experienced bike-handlers can embark on Direct Access or tailored one-to-one courses. Bikestrobe also offer a range of clothing, accessories, and new and used bikes, as well as repairs and a 24-hour recovery service.
