About The Stag

The Stags Head has stood tall in Maidwell village since 1766 where it was previously known as The Goat. The team endeavour to make guests feel at home whether it be with a wide range of home cooked meals or a vast selection of drinks behind the bar. Clientele can enjoy the tranquility of the beer garden in the summertime where barbecues and outdoor events take place, while winter nights can be spent in front of the roaring log fire. They even offer accommodation with a number of en-suite rooms complete with televisions, and hot drink making facilities. The Stags Head hosts events such as Sausage and Cider Festival, Beer Festival and family days. In 2015 the establishment received TripAdvisor's Certificate of Excellence.
