From Our Editors

Erected in the 14th century and further developed in the 16th, Harvington Hall is a small moated island situated in Kidderminster. Visitors have an opportunity to see a series of priest hides and Elizabethan wall paintings, and learn about the life of Roman Catholic families and clergy during the Reformation. Guests can also see a Georgian chapel and enjoy a light lunch or a snack at the Moatside Tearoom before browsing for souvenirs in the on-site gift shop.

I would definitely recommend a visit. There are verbal and digital tours available for you to choose from. Its a great piece of living history that we are lucky to have. There are excellent facilities for picnics in lovely well managed gardens. The children loved the outdoor space. The coffee shop was top notch serving quality drinks and home made foods. However it was so busy at lunch time, to my disappointment, we could not get a table.

Very busy with many children as Half Term. Lady who took us round was excellent as she geared her talk to the ages of the children in the group including our 3 grandchildren 3,7 and 12, all of whom thoroughly enjoyed it. Many thanks and well done to the guide.

A nice place with lots of history. Does get a bit cramped on the guided tours as the rooms/corridors are relatively small although we did go during 1/2 term week so quite a few children about. Very pleasant staff and the resident cat was very friendly. Nice cup of tea and cake in the restaurant, although again very packed. Enjoyed it all and would recommend.
