From Our Editors

Erected in the 14th and further developed in the 16th century, Harvington Hall is a moated manor house on an island situated in Kidderminster. Visitors have an opportunity to see a series of priest hides and Elizabethan wall paintings, and learn about the life of Roman Catholic families and clergy during the Reformation. Guests can also see a Georgian chapel and enjoy a light lunch or a snack at the Moatside Tearoom before browsing for souvenirs in the on-site gift shop.

I have visited the hall 3 times now with family or friends. It is a fascinating building with lots of little staircases and hiding places. A good cafe too, with the opportunity to eat your food outside, in the lovely surroundings. Well worth a visit.

Lots of interesting features, BEAUTIFUL gardens and lovely tearoom. The rooms were a little sparse and had as much information about the man who renovated it as the history of the house itself. However it feels like a work in progress as some rooms better than others so it will be interesting to see how evolves as I'm sure it will.

Very interesting house. Has lots of priest holes, which are well hidden. Great history to it as well. Our guide was newish, but managed to make it an enjoyable tour.
