Gift for my Mother & friend. Staff friendly however my Mother complained of lack of filling in sandwiches. You get what you pay for I guess. She told me she doesn't want to return.

There were only two other tables being used in a vast dining room which is a bad omen on a lovely sunny Sunday The beef was inedible, the carrots hardly cooked.Only two choices of veg We ordered different sweets and two of the same were placed in front of us with no chance to complain .I had to find someone in the bar to put this right which took at least 20minutes.Manager of the restaurant was very pleasant and seemed genuinely concerned by my complaints

Very different to the picture on their offer page, the tea provided is very basic and is worth £3 at the most. It was so unappetising that we left if and went to the other Himley House Hotel for a lovely lunch .

Embarrassing, this was part of a birthday present, the place is very run down and dated. The tea was a choice of tea or instant coffee, 2 tiny little scones with jam and cream, 2 small slices of shop bought Victoria sponge, 2 small slices of shop bought lemon cake and some finger sandwiches 3 each tuna, cheese, ham and beef made with glaggy bread that sticks to the roof of your mouth.

I purchased this groupon for himley country hotel for my daughter and son in law. When they told me that the food was terrible I thought they were joking but unfortunately they were not.My daughter said that almost all the food was from a frozen range she is a good cook and knows the difference She said the carrots were rock hard and that the Yorkshire pudding was not a fresh cooked one again it was a frozen one.The desert should have been apple pie and custard but when it arrived it was stuck to the dish as though it had been heated in the microwave and that my son in laws was burnt to a cinder. They told the staff that they would not be staying for the tea or coffee. They said the dining room was set out nicely but there were cobwebs everywhere it was like something set up for Haloween.I certainly will not be purchasing another groupon for The Himley Country Hotel.

Chairs weren't very comfy. Tea was lovely, would have been even better if it wasn't for the large table of loud teachers next to us who were planning next years school timetable!!!
