About The Peak Climbing Wall

Our home, Leek in Staffordshire, is unique in so many ways. Secluded amongst some of the most famous rocky outcrops and breathtaking countryside in the UK has to offer. Our business has been built around the idea of enhancing people's experience of our little part of the world and giving people the skills to access without difficulty all parts of it. Our Centre consists of two departments, The Climbing School & The Climbing Wall. Our Climbing School is the outdoor department and caters to all abilities wanting to learn how to climb real mountains and rock faces, our climbing wall is our local community hub where you can train and develop on those wet days.

All our staff are dedicated climbers and not just instructors. We have climbed all over the world, climb regularly, and like to think we are at the top of our game. The environments we climb in are beyond special in our eyes so protecting these areas is at the top of our priority. As a conscious business we try to be as responsible as possible and a little on how we do this is below.

Climbing fundamentally changed our lives. It’s more than just a job or hobby, it’s a lifestyle, that has created endless adventures and experiences. With the lowest course ratios, run by a team of incredibly psyched climbing professionals, our aim is a simple one; share knowledge. Whether you’re new to the sport or an experienced climber, we have courses to inspire, develop, and ensure you perform in whichever style you choose to climb.

As a team of super-psyched climbers, we wanted to do something different from other providers in the UK. As instructors, we were frustrated when group sizes were too big and we couldn’t give people the time they needed to learn. We were equally frustrated with the kit used on courses, and that some customers had to rent shoes and gear even after they had paid for a course. Indoors we want to climb excellent problems, be greeted by a friendly face at reception, and not have to fill out 20 sheets of paper to just walk through the door.

So with the simple philosophy; of keeping group sizes small, to teach not just skills but the climbing lifestyle itself, The Peak Climbing School & Wall was born.
