About Lewes Castle and Museum
Built after the Battle of Hastings in 1066, the Lewes Castle is a historical site supported by the Sussex Archaeological Society. The castle has panoramic views from the river to the coast, and the on-site museum has a collection of archaeological artefacts. Guests can watch a 3D movie which tells the history of the site, or pay a visit to the Anne of Cleves House Museum.
