Established in 1996 and boasting multiple restaurants scattered across London, Caffè Concerto brings the welcoming charm and sophistication of Italian dining to England’s capital. While menus vary from location to location, visitors can rest assured they will be able to sample traditional Italian cuisine amid modern settings. Live entertainment and the ever-present grand piano play a big part in creating the ambiance, and a rotating schedule of accomplished jazz, blues and bossa nova musicians add a certain rhythm to the dining experience. Another feather in the chain’s bow is their range of cakes, crafted with pride and made to suit any occasion, whether a wedding reception or birthday.

My experience at caffe concerto in Shaftebury Avenue was amazing I brought a groupon voucher as a birthday grift surprise for my friend , I’m glad I brought this voucher for Afternoon enjoyed every moment with my friend would recommend this place to anyone . After attending Shaftebury Avenue branch I’m sure all these other branches would be the same .

We had afternoon tea at the Shaftesbury avenue branch. The sandwiches were nice and the cakes too, but the scones were horrible as they quickly turned rock hard after few minutes and I’m pretty sure it was because it was probably microwaved to warm it up. We barely ate any of it. We’ve had countless afternoon tea in several cafe/restaurant and this was one of the worst scones we had. I was also given a very wet plate, obviously taken from the kitchen without drying first. Not a very good service.

The cake I got “chocolate gateu” looked and tasted nothing like the fresh creamy caked you would usually get at Cafe Concerto, it tasted more like the heavy cream ones you get from supermarkets. Besides, I asked them to write a message of happy birthday with my son’s name when I made the order and what I got was a cake with “happy birthday to me” on it! Disappointed
