I had lash extensions done through a Groupon deal in July 2023, and it was one of the worst beauty experiences I’ve ever had. I am also a professional beautician, so I fully understand proper application standards, timing, and quality — which makes this even more disappointing. The treatment was advertised as a £55 full lash extension service, requiring at least 1.5 hours, but the actual application took less than 30 minutes. The lashes applied were cheap clusters, not individual extensions, and the therapist previously refused to treat me unless I paid extra to rebook — despite still having over an hour available. Within three days, most lashes fell out and ripped out many of my natural ones. I was left with patchy, uneven, thick lashes that looked so bad I had to cut them myself. I also developed an allergic reaction around my eyes. The technician seemed rushed and distracted dealing with equipment issues instead of focusing on the service. This was dishonest, careless, and misleading, and the damage stayed with me long after the appointment. Just because it’s a Groupon deal does not give a business the right to cut corners or deceive customers. I would not recommend this service to anyone.
