Coppin Brothers are one of the oldest butchers in London serving meat to the public. A true family business, more than 15 members of the Coppin family have worked at the firm over the last century. Paul Coppin is the current family member in charge of serving a good range of quality meats, including 20 different varieties of sausage. The recipe for one of those varieties was first formulated at Coppin Brothers over a century ago. The firm continues to operate under the same ethos as it always has: selling high quality meats at a fair price. All meat stocked has been thoroughly checked for its quality, and is sourced from British producers and suppliers. All beef at Coppin Bros is Licensed Aberdeen Angus, delivered from Scotland, while all lamb comes from UK farms. Sausages are handmade on site, and all cooked meats are prepared on the premises, according to local council regulations. The cooked meats here enjoy a particularly high reputation amongst customers, with traditional Danish ham being one of the top sellers. Scotch salt beef is another favourite of customers. A number of seasonal dishes, including roast turkey and Victorian stuffed goose, are available at Christmas time. To ensure that the items they want are available, customers are urged to contact Coppin Brothers in advance, with orders taken by both telephone and email. The store is conveniently located on the Mitcham Road in Tooting, just a short walk from Tooting Broadway tube station.
