Dane's Yard Kitchen is a restaurant located in the Strand East in London. It is one of the newest restaurants to open in the bustling Stratford cuisine scene. Dane's Yard Kitchen offers diners with contemporary fresh fare centred on British dishes with additional inspiration from international methods and techniques. The restaurant is located in an old warehouse dating from the turn of the 20th Century and the exposed brickwork and open kitchen mirror this industrial heritage. However it is also a relaxing space, with intimate booths contained within a glasshouse room to create a bright airy atmosphere. The Dane part of the name comes from the print company which first occupied the premises, which used an illustration of a Great Dane dog as their logo. A wide range of food is offered to the diner such as the signature braised pork belly and Scottish mackerel pate. The restaurant is open every day but Monday. On each day diners can visit for the lunch menu between 12 and 4pm with the dinner menu available from 6pm. On weekends there is also a brunch menu available in addition to these menus. Recently introduced, are cocktail classes, where a trained mixologist can teach beginners to make their own unique beverages, whilst being served tasty canapés. Dane's Yard Kitchen has been designed to be family friendly with a number of children's dishes available. Furthermore, a number of family events and entertainment are planned for the summer months, to be held out on the terrace.
