From Our Editors

Highland Foods is a top quality butcher based in Mill Hill, and has gained a reputation for delivering the very freshest organic meats available. It was the first butcher in London to be awarded an Organic Certification by the Soil Association and so takes it's green credentials very seriously. Highland Foods make their own traditional sausages on-site, ensuring that the meat content is never less than 80%. They also make home-made beef biltong, pork scratchings, salami, gammon and salt beef. They maintain close links with organic farms in the west of Wales, from where the livestock is raised on lush grass that is free from chemical interference, which means that when it reaches Highland Foods the meat is as fresh and organic as possible. Highland foods is able to offer selection packs of meat that are tailored to the climate and season, meaning that the Spring meat pack is full of the very finest new season lamb, beef and many more. Their delivery service operates right across the country and is delivered to the customers door vacuum-sealed and in cool boxes with ice-packs to guarantee freshness. Highland Foods has recently begun the delivery of organic fruit and vegetables, with the customer able to select one of the standard packs or create their own selection. Also available for delivery are exotic meats like antelope, crocodile, zebra, black and white puddings made to the original Harrington recipe created in 1880, and freezer packs containing frozen meat ready to put straight into the freezer.
