About Huffkins at John Lewis & Partners
Huffkins is an award-winning British bakery and cafe tea rooms, owned and grown by the Taee family since 1999. The family - Richard, Topsy, Joshua, Jacob, Lilly & Faith - are all longtime local Cotswold residents. The company is run for the long-term good, with strong family values.
Since it was established in c.1890 in the Cotswolds town of Burford, Huffkins has been an independent, family-owned company. Our founder, Mr Titcomb baked in a tiny Cotswold stone cottage, delivering freshly-baked goods from a wood fired oven by donkey & cart.
Our state-of-the-art bakery was built in the Spring of 2021, featuring the highest grade equipment. But our most important tool is our hands. Fully-trained craft bakers hand make and bake in small batches, using time-honoured family recipes. Ingredients are sourced locally in the Cotswolds for the highest quality and authenticity.

Lovely treat, staff warm and friendly, lovely atmosphere, the classic afternoon tea was more than enough for us, all freshly prepared, we got a box to take the 4 cream cakes home.

Went to Huffkins Stow on The Wold. Amazing afternoon tea and lovely helpful staff.
My friend is in a wheelchair and although there are steps and it was mentioned not really accessible as bathroom is upstairs due to it being a listed building, we were still welcomed and helped up the front steps. The double doors open right up so gives a bit more space. I booked for 8 and they were able to seat us together. I have been to many afternoon tea's and really find this the tastiest. sometimes I have noticed when I have a Groupon we do not get offered more tea but here staff treated us well and we were offered refills.
I really recommend this place delightful nice place and nice staff.

I've visited Huffkins a quite a few times with family & friends and always enjoy the Classic Afternoon Tea. The sandwiches are so fresh and a nice selection. The cakes are really nice, the scones are so nice. You can choose a pot if tea or coffee, the cappuccino is so nice. The staff are friendly, helpful and polite. I highly recommend Huffkins.

We had lovely tea! Highly recommend it! Come hungry because tea comes with a lot of food! Best scones I’ve ever had!
