As I entered the salon , I was warmly welcomed by an Iranian lady and given a herbal tea whilst waiting for the hairdresser . The gentleman came and spoke very very little English . I’d booked a Brazilian blow dry ,my first at Hush , but being having them for 9 years , so know the process . I was shocked when the product was left in only for 25 minutes and then rinsed out- normally you don’t allow water to touch your hair for around 3 days. When I queried it ,due to the lack of his English , he called a blonde eastern wiropean lady who spoke only slightly better English . She said they rinse it out so that the salon wouldn’t steam up and it was a health and safety procedure . I felt I’d had nothing more than a deep conditioning treatment and not an actual Brazilian . She tried to explain that with their particular product , they rinse it out , and once rinsed -THEN proceed to blow dry and straighten (pretty pointless once the product is removed ) -the hairdresser took his time taking the tiniest of sections of hair to straighten -with the product already removed! When I asked the blonde lady if I could see the product they used and take a photo of it, so I could research ,she said it was salon policy not to show customers what they used!!! I challenged her knowing that’s full well illegal , so she begrudgingly bought out a sample bottle of it .
If customers are told upfront that their method of a Brazilian is rounding out the product after a few minutes ,there wouldn’t be a problem . I was even charged £15 extra for having longer hair even though they rinsed the product out! Experience started off well so gave it 2 stars .
