Based in the vibrant Soho, Machiya takes guests on a culinary adventure through the flavours of Japan. Dining can be started with a selection of smaller bites, like hot wings or gyoza, before moving on to bigger plates ranging from noodle dishes to grilled and fried meats. Those with a sweet tooth can also be tempted with a selection of matcha-infused desserts, while the drinks include a selection of assorted teas, soft drinks, and cocktails.
Very good deal ,nicely presented and food always very tasty. Generous portion provided and sufficient for 1 diner.Friendly service from all staff. Keep up the good food Machiya and continue with your great service.
Very friendly service and tasty food
3 of the Starters weren't available of 5 choices. Tofu salad was hit and miss. Mine was done well but my partner's one was bland and maybe done in a hurry.
Beef curry was ok, more like a stew and tasted like a regular stew, I failed to see what made this a japanese dish.
The chicken tariyake dish was ok, worth a try. Service was good, staff were friendly and offered advice. There is a separate menu for Groupon customers. Some of the dishes required an additional fee for rice. If you stuck with the inclusive options, £10pp for drink, starters+mains is not bad.
Very nice food, great location and service. Highly recommended.
friendly place and delicious food
I went to this japanese very very busy cafe without a groupon voucher and it was very nice. I returned with a groupon voucher and then got a groupon menu which I really dislike... I tried all four starters and four main courses . I like only the Chicken teriyaki Don , the fried chicken dish and the very good limonade .The manageress is excellent.
Small Japanese restaurant very busy very friendly very tasty food great value
