This falafel and houmous bar can be found in three locations throughout London. Pilpel serves falafel that is freshly made on the premises daily. These falafels are made from a family recipe passed down to the owner from his grandfather Zion, whose restaurant he worked in when he was young. The staff are invested in the goal of keeping the Pipel legacy alive. Each of them has what is called the “Pipel factor”, fire in their spirit, and so are dedicated to fresh healthy food for people to enjoy. Falafels are high in protein and fibre, along with containing many nutrients such as magnesium and calcium. They are fried in healthy oils and do not contain breadcrumbs meaning that they can be eaten as part of a healthy diet. The menu is split into two sections, falafel and houmous. The basic falafel is served with houmous and salad and the basic houmous is served with pitta bread but there are other set combinations available. There are a choice of toppings which you can change according to personal taste (such as boiled egg, guacamole or feta cheese) and alongside this you are given the choice of what ingredients you would like in your salad, from jalapenos to cabbage. Finally you have a choice of sauces, tahini or chilli. The falafels are suitable for vegetarians, vegans and those on a wheat free diet. The restaurants also offer an online order service where you may place your order on the website and collect it from the store.
