Location: 5/5. The place is 3-5 min walk from the train station.
Pricing: 5/5. £18 for 5 one-hour sessions is very good value.
Booking: 5/5. Super easy. I did it online, soft and smoothly.
Venue: 2/5. Dingy and scruffy. Not 1/5 because the hammocks are clean, in good condition, safely hung and the structure they hang from is solid and reliable. Other than that, the room, though light, is very warm (mid Sept), there is neither AC nor a fan, the windows can open but the instructor doesn’t do it or only very briefly. The ‘studio’ is more like a studio flat with a kitchenette and a shower room, both filthy (really!), as are the carpeted and board floors of the dark and stinky corridors that lead to it from the entrance.
Instructor: 3/5.. It’s a woman with hospital nursing background, seems to be knowledgeable and safe as a practitioner but has a particular way of addressing the clients during the session in a way that, at least in my opinion, I find slightly patronising and offensive. Although, other than that, she behaves professionally, my impression is that she does not look after herself physically, especially in terms of hygiene, and that, at least for me, is a real downer, making my experience of the whole session significantly less enjoyable.
