Very shabby, in need of cosmetic attention. Also we had to get dressed to go for lunch, then back into wet costumes - better if spa customers 'allowed' into lunch wearing gowns.

spa is tired, needs up- dating. No slippers given out so had to walk around bare foot. Water machine in a cold , dark wet area. One cold shower in pool area. The deal as good value but I think some money needs spending on pool area.No signs for sauna .

The main hotel, on entry seems okay. A little tired and stale atmosphere... The leisure centre facilities are incredibly poor... Not only is it old, and out of date (which I can handle) it was not very clean on the floors around the sauna/steam. The steam room is poor, worst I have ever been in. The treatment room was okay, but prefer sow where more intimate... The room is massive! The music was too loud and not v relaxing. Could here is stop and go on loop. The changing rooms are awful, rusty hair dryers see throu showers, floors not clean, tissues everywhere at the make up counter. Waiting area/felt like a waiting room at the doctors. Not like a spa at all!!! Maybe a station with complementary water??

The staff were pleasant and helpful. I only went to the spa section of the Shrigley Hall Hotel but would have liked to have had the use of a relaxation room. After treatments or a swim everyone had to return to the reception area. Enjoyed the treatments but would but would not return.

The treatments felt very rushed. My friend and I had to have our nails done twice, the first time they were a mess so I complained and gave to say the customer service wasn't wonderful but they did redo them. Wouldn't recommend it.
