From Our Editors

The story began back in November 2012, when Sarah Gallacher opened her first shop in West Didsbury. Sarah trained at Slattery's Patissier and Chocolatier, where she learnt all about chocolate. Now she takes a great pride in hand making her own creations with locally-sourced ingredients and without additives, preservatives or artificial flavouring. The extensive menu includes cakes, truffles, chocolate shards and slabs as well as hot drinks, afternoon tea and gifts.

supposed to have been afternoon tea for two but just about enough for one ! Shop bought sandwiches with margarine. Probably bought in cakes too. Had to ask for another drink. Service with a smile not been heard of here. Very disappointed as had read glowing reviews before we booked but it looks as though since their move (after we booked) this place has rapidly gone downhill. Personally not bothered about the dog in the shop, but fully understand why other customers wouldn’t be happy, especially if they paid full price !!

Very friendly welcome. The food was lovely. Nice soft bread for sandwiches and the scone and cakes were really tasty. Genius idea for the salted caramel instead of jam. I'm going to start putting it on all my food! Thank you for a lovely afternoon.
