Viaduct Sanctuary and Petting Zoo offers help in both rehoming and guidance about keeping exotic pets such as reptiles. The sanctuary provides advice about husbandry, cleaning needs, proper ways of handling, and more. During animal handling experiences offered by the centre, visitors can get acquainted with the concept of taking care of a reptile, and some of the animals living here are available for adoption.

Was such a great party for my daughters 9th birthday, all her friends loved it!
Great experience at this small animal sanctuary. Normal admission costs £1.50 per person which goes directly towards costs of feeding the animals. It's so worth booking this handling experience, you get up close and personal with various reptiles (snakes, lizards, millipedes, tortoises) The owner is really knowledgeable and the kids and I learnt lots about the animals. Recommended!

I love taking my grandchildren here, they have a great time, the staff are lovely, very knowledgeable and caring about the pets they look after. All animals are looked after expertly and the experience for the children being able to hold a boa snake (if they want to) is amazing. My Grandson are 6 & 4 and they loved it!
The setting is fairly 'rough and ready', but the volunteers are very knowledgeable about their animals. My 7 year old granddaughter really enjoyed the visit and handling the snakes, reptiles etc.
The kids really enjoyed their time at Viaduct sanctuary and petting zoo. Josh gave them a talk on the animals and they got to hold 2 snakes, a bearded dragon, some giant millipedes and a tortoise. We had a nice little wander round after seeing all the rescue anilmals. Would definitely pay to go back again.
The only downside was that they didnt have a record of our booking when we arrived. Luckily they could fit us in but it would have been a shame if they couldn't.

Great little place. Staff were helpful and knowledgable. Took my two sons aged 4 and 5. We were able to hold snakes, lizards and giant millipedes, and we met some giant tortoises. There is also a lovely cafe and small play area over the road. Great day out. Really recommend if you have animal loving children
