Located a short distance from Mansfield rail station, Instinctive Escape Games hosts groups of friends, students, families and colleagues, testing brainpower with classic-style escape challenges.
Tiny room, staff member (young girl) didn't really know anything about it,
Small shabby room with most items broken.
One padlock opened without needing the code for it so when we got the clue later on we couldn't work out where it was for.
One hint that we got a clue for we could not work out at all, and the girl ended up judt telling us the answer for that bit of the puzzle.
At the end i asked how we were supposed to solve it and she said she didn't know she just had the answers.
Absolutely not worth the money, even at the discounted rate.
Only positive is that it has shown me that at a better venue, escape rooms are the kind of thing i would like.
I think you need to take this off your Groupon.STRAIGHT AWAY. I was very disappointed. The room was filthy, as was the entrance , the stair rail was falling off the wall. No effort had been made to dress the room for the scenario as stated on the phone. Basically a small box room with 1 bookshelf, 2 ikea units , a sofa ( which was just a cover over an old sofa bed frame) my daughter sat on it and fell straight through. The floor was a dirty carpet. The whole thing was embarrassing. Spent ages trying to open a safe only to be given a key under the door to open it because the batteries had fallen out. I will think twice about doing GROUPON in the future and if you value your customers you will make sure you check what you are selling in future.
VERY VERY DISAPPOINTED.
This has to be by far the worst escape game iv ever done, not very well thought out at all, wasn't the room we were lead to believe it was, would not recommend at all.
Enjoyed it, think maybe a more enthusiastic representative would have been better. It was not what we were expecting. It is one small room and the aim is to find clued to crack codes to looks on draws.
