Picanha brings the traditional Brazilian rodízio-style restaurant experience to South London. The kitchen serves up spit-roasted meats on skewers, which are then carved directly onto plates to create all-you-can-eat feasts. The menu is complemented with sangrias and a selection of wines and beers alongside tropical cocktails, such as the famous caipirinha.
Poor quality food poor quality wine choice and unreasonable quite expensive service just fine
The staff went next door to the off license to buy bottled beers and oven chips when clearly had run out. Some of our group had a bad stomach the next day. The group on voucher was more expensive than an offer already in the window, so no savings made at all by using Groupon.
Nice staff, some of the food was lovely (maybe avoid the first course sausage), the cuts of steak that come later are nice.
I have been here a few times and usually the service is very good. However, on this occasion a number of things meant my experience was a bad one. Firstly upon arrival we were told to come back in 20 mins so they could clean up and put fresh food out. We did but then upon coming back were made to wait a further 20 minutes for the food to start coming out. When it did come out the meat was cold and at times under cooked (the meat wasn't all bad just some of it). The staff didn't seem to care much despite our complaints. Also the table was not clean and we had to get some cutlery from another table. All round a bad experience and sadly despite it being local to me I will not be going again.
Good food and service despite only being 2 members of staff was very accommodating !!
