Nestled in the quaint village of Cartmel, the Cavendish Arms welcomes guests to a 450-year old coaching inn providing a starting point for exploring the Cumbrian countryside, placed a short distance from Lake District National Park.
Drinks in bar overpriced and quality of food was poor
I did not like the place. I would go back to Cartmell again but I would not stay here. My breakfast on day I was disgusting. Cold and greasy egg and bacon. The room was hard work. You had to move a heavy cupboard to get to a socket for hairdryer and straighteners. There was no wardrobe only a rail to put cloths on. Part of the rail was over the cupboard so could not use all of it.
The location, the restaurant, the staff.
The food and staff are lovely, we will be going again!
Friendly staff, gorgeous food, lovely spacious room - we have recommended you to family who loved it too!
We will be returning :)
Great place to stay, fabulous food and all the staff so nice
Very friendly staff, lovely atmosphere and great food.
Evening Main Meals were excellent But....... Very poor = Cheese board for £13..! for 4 tiny slithers of cheese & only 2 weren't even local.
Breakfast *2 was terrible = only 1 chipolata sausage (very over cooked), 2 bacon & black pudding were also very hard & dry. Good job there was toast & cereals to fill-up-on.
Very friendly. Good food. Unfortunately bed was very uncomfortable and heating on all night.
