Located at Peterlee Parachute Centre, the Skydive Academy benefits from the use of unrestricted Air Space flying planes and a site where parachuting is the number one priority. The Academy has been taking customers to dizzying heights seven days a week since 1987, and offers solo parachute courses alongside tandem skydives from a choice of altitude. Accelerated Freefall, or AFF courses are accelerated learning courses made up of eight one-to-one skydiving jumps, and designed for the average person who wants a more comprehensive experience. Their Shotton Colliery site features a canteen and licensed bar and free overnight camping, bunk beds and caravan spots are available by arrangement.
