A great couple of hours paddle boarding round Sanbanks harbour. The staff were friendly and the equipment in excellent condition. Would definitely do this again and I’m already recommending to friends.

It started ok. Were given wetsuit and buoyancy aid. Given brief instructions on the land. ..we said it was our first time and were anxious. Only to be told dont worry you will be fine. As the tide was out we were told that we had to go out a certain amount in order to be able to paddle board properly. It was mentioned that where the water was darker it would be deeper and that was that. They then left us on our own. Both of us ended up being pulled into deep water by the current and the wind. We tried to turn round but this was really difficult. My daughter started crying and had a panic attack. After 2 hours we finally got back to shore exhausted and upset. We had fallen in a couple of times into deep water. My daughter ended up paddling to the wrong part of the shore and had a 20 minute walk back to the place where no-one came to see if she was okay, sbe ead obviously looking quite distressed as we had been seperated by the tide. We walked back across the road to the watersports place. The girl asked us how we got on.we said not great due to getting pulled out which was scary. To this she said maybe keep an eye on tides and come another time. She also asked if we needed to get the safety boat out to which we said no as we weren't even told how to get the safety boat out or where it was. As we were so upset and relieved to make it back to dry land. We left. I will never go back there and wont recommend. I would hate for anyone to have as extremely frightening time as we did.
