Deep in the heart of Wensleydale country, The White Swan Hotel & Restaurant can be found in the small town of Middleham, with history stretching back to the 12th century. Guests can visit the grand ruins of Middleham Castle, or take in the nearby Yorkshire Dales, featuring both fishing opportunities and a handful of racecourses. The hotel’s building was once the town’s Post Office. Today it houses 17 bedrooms and a 60-cover brasserie, while overlooking the bustling market square. Cosy and charming, each of the rooms are individually decorated with a blend of old and new features. As well as en suite facilities, rooms include a flat screen television and wireless internet access. An upgrade to a superior room is available for £10 per night. Freshly prepared food is served in the on-site brasserie which also boasts a traditional public bar. Breakfast and evening meals are served in the contemporary surroundings.
