About Spa Valley Railway

Welcoming guests on board a steam train, Spa Valley Railway strives to promote the historic railway linking Eridge and Tunbridge Wells. Visitors can admire the High Weald landscape from the comfort of a restored 1960s train. At Eridge, alight briefly to see the restored heritage station before returning back to Tunbridge Wells West. At Tunbridge Wells visitors can witness an exposition of historic locomotives and engines as well as an engine shed erected in 1886. Driving experiences and themed tours, including fish, chips and murder or pie, mash and a pint are also available to those who book in advanced. If during your visit you wish to break your journey then the Spa Valley Railway can sell you additional tickets for travel later on! The old-fashioned trains can also be hired for a range of private events and weddings.

As usual a lovely train ride. Grandson is mad on steam trains so a perfect day out. Friendly staff who delighted in sharing their passion for trains with our three year old grandson. Dogs were welcome too so added bonus

Booking the tickets via Groupon was very easy I also printed the vouchers I got from Groupon which is something I would suggest to do. When we arrived at the station there is no onsite parking you have to park down the road I would suggest at the pantiles it’s not far to walk. I gave the man in the shop my printed vouchers as I had copies on my phone as the scanner wasn’t working on site.

It was such a lovely experience to go on the train with my family. The Groupon vouchers were super easy to use, and we lived the mini information room with old locomotives to walk around.

Terribly disappointed. The steam train was OOO. The stop at the stations far too short to get to and explore with elderly or young children. Views were disappointing toi. Bluebell was much better.
