The staff were so friendly and helpful, the food was just amazing and for a Sunday Carvery you couldn't want for more. Good Choice of starters then 4 meats to choose from with a selection of potatoes (not just roast and mash). Loads of veg to pick from too and all cooked to perfection. Didn't go away hungry or disappointed. Beautiful setting well looked after pub/hotel.

Afternoon tea was just OK. Decent scones (if a little hard) and fair cakes. Sandwiches were adequate, however we would prefer to choose sandwich fillings as personally we do not like smoked cheese or strong mustard. There was also no opportunity to choose white or brown bread. The eclairs were stodgy and twice I had to go hunting to find a waitress for more tea or milk, or both. I am glad we didn't pay full price.

This is a nice place the affordability is great for what you get. We was told to sit in the lounge area in a confined space which was a weird seating location. They need to sit you at a dining table..its nice if your local to the area but i certainly would not return or go out of my way to go there. I would recommend this place for the experience so you can make your own mind up.
