The North Yorkshire seaside town of Whitby provides the backdrop to Whitehouse Hotel, where the cobbled streets, a quaint harbour and the Dracula-inspiring Whitby Abbey all contribute to the town's identity. A plethora of walking and cycle trails surround the area, with Robin Hood's bay six miles away and Sandsend's sandy beach just a short walk along the coast. Double, twin, family rooms and suites are all fitted out with modern furnishings and plush plum colours. The rooms proffer views of either the sea or the neighbouring golf course. Hearty home-cooked fare populates the restaurant's evening menu, with the likes of sirloin steaks among the dishes, while mornings feature cooked breakfasts. The bar is stocked with real ales, as well as spirits and wines, and is complemented by a beer garden.
