About Pinetum Park & Pine Lodge Gardens
The horticultural labour of love of Ray and Shirley Clemo, who travelled far and wide to collect the necessary seeds, Cornwall's Pinetum Park and Pine Lodge Gardens shows off the verdant beauty of flora in a range of settings. The four-acre Pinetum features an amphitheatre arrangement full of conifer trees, and the Japanese Skakkei Garden takes its inspiration from Kyoto with traditional flowers and a summer house. The Sunken Garden boasts a range of scented South African plants plus a seating area, while the Cottage Garden features Daphne trees and statues. Wildlife can be found in the form of black swans at the lake, koi carp and goldfish at the Top Garden's pond, and frogs and dragonflies at the Water Garden. Guests can indulge in homemade cakes at the Courtyard's Tea Shoppe for a supplement and pop into the farm shop to check out their locally-sourced meat and jam.
