Stratford Butterfly Farm opened in 1985. The butterflies live in habitats mimicking the leafy tropical environment of their countries of origin. Apart from the butterflies, there are also a few birds, a pool with fish, as well as terrariums with insects and spiders.
Peaceful and pleasant. Took my 5 year old and 3 year old grandsons who loved it. Pleasant and helpful staff.
Lovely experience! The butterfly centre is not very big but you can easily spend a couple of hours in the lovely tropical house. My 6 yr old grandson loved taking photos of all the different species and was fascinated by the ‘pupa house’ where you could see all the chrysalis hanging. We even saw one emerging!!
There could be more ‘hands on’ activities for children
Not very big but a good rainy day activity
Place was great - staff not so friendly which was a real shame
Great family day out for big and little kids 🤣
A lovely place to visit. An amazing range of butterflies and other insects to see. As is to be expected it is very warm inside Plenty of parking in the public car park opposite and although there is no on site cafe there are plenty of places close by in Stratford town centre to get refreshments as well as seeing the many historic buildings and monuments. It all makes for a great family day out.
You won't need a coat inside the actual butterfly house.
My granddaughter, aged 1 loved it we used buggy hitch was also fine
🦋A lovely couple hours spent with my 3 grandchildren, finished off with a walk along the river which is only a short walk away. 🦋
