Not sure about the deal. Decorum is the key for this place. On arrival we had to proof that we have booked. Awkward, which already made us feel to leave immediately. Asking for vegetarian option was perceived as something out of this world. Cream tea was nothing like pictured. I am still confused about the staff as they tried but maybe did not know better. Plus points: Prosecco was nice, great view. Still, I would not come back.

Picture was not really a true representation of what we received. Scones ok but only 1 small pot of jam and small pot of cream for 2 people to share. We had booked but don’t think they were expecting us. Drinks very expensive. On the plus side views were great but shame it was a wet day.Guess because it was out of season.

Table was bare when we arrived. Cakes and sandwiches of poor quality, lacked filling and plastic bread. Had to ask for a plate, then ask for a knife and NO napkins or serviettes. Prosecco was flat, probably opened days before and stored. Not offered a second cup of tea.

Table not laid. Sandwiches dry through not being covered after being made. Scones like biscuits! Cheapest jam possible. Only 2 pieces of cake. Which were a bit dry. Staff not dressed in uniforms, they had track suit bottoms on.

The afternoon tea was acceptable in quality for the price of the Groupon voucher but no more. It was definitely not worth the full price. Sandwiches (4.5 fingers each) were so unimaginative- plain ham on white bread, plain smoked salmon on white bread, cheese and tomato. Macarons were nice.

Very pleasant and helpful staff.

The cream tea was not value for money, dry sandwiches, scone hard, no cake selection, very disappointed with this offer, hotel seemed closed with only one member of staff running the hotel, not recommended at all.
