About Old Walls Vineyard
With a suspicion of vine-growing activity dating back 2000 years, the land of this vineyard is rich with history. The Romans are thought to have taken advantage of south-facing slopes and well-drained soil, as the current owners of this vineyard are doing today. Also on the site are the remains of the 13th century Bishop's Palace which exposes a part of Devon's past. A tea room and shop provide a place to rest, eat, drink, and meet with friends.
