Amazing tour. Beautiful grounds and fabulous rooms. Tour guide definitely made the tour. You could tell that she loved what she did and was passionate about the history. Lovely sitting in the orangery for tea and scones. Definitely recommend a visit

About Avington Park

Dating back to the 10th century, Avington Park is a Grade I-listed privately owned stately home with parkland bordering the River Itchen. During a guided tour, visitors can take in Palladian architecture, traditional decor and period furnishings, and learn about the site's history from a knowledgeable guide. Visitors can stroll around the grounds and perhaps enjoy going to see St. Mary's Church, a Georgian church within the grounds and well worth a visit. Customers can then take afternoon tea in the Victorian conservatory and enjoy a cup of tea and a delicious homemade scone with clotted cream and jam.
