Very good. Very informative guide. The only problem was that there were items on display but we couldn’t look at them as we were rushed onto the next part of the tour. Would have been better spending more time looking at displays and less time talking about the wall coverings on the stairs. Scone was lovely but the tea and coffee were not that nice.

About Avington Park

Dating back to the 10th century, Avington Park is a Grade I-listed privately owned stately home with parkland bordering the River Itchen. During a guided tour, visitors can take in Palladian architecture, traditional decor and period furnishings, and learn about the site's history from a knowledgeable guide. Visitors can stroll around the grounds and perhaps enjoy going to see St. Mary's Church, a Georgian church within the grounds and well worth a visit. Customers can then take afternoon tea in the Victorian conservatory and enjoy a cup of tea and a homemade scone with clotted cream and jam.
