We had a really lovely afternoon tea here, it was delicious. The service was first class and the lounge was very relaxing and comfortable. Highly recommend!

Lovely afternoon tea with my friend, arrived early and seated straight away. Delicious sandwiches and fresh cakes. Great service from our lovely waitress in lovely surroundings, the garden looked beautiful with all the autumn colours. We will certainly be booking again.

If you like going back in time and having a nice afternoon tea it was excellent.

From arrival and the ease of parking, the very welcoming assistance of all members of the hotel staff that we met to the choice of various attractive locations offered to enjoy our afternoon tea and the very warm and professional attention from Jane who served our excellent Prosecco Royal Afternoon Tea it was a truly enjoyable experience .

Excellent afternoon tea, excellent service from the lady serving us. I wish I had got her name but she served me and my mum at 1 pm and was highly attentive. Made the visit!

Lovely afternoon tea for DH birthday treat Easy to access in the city centre we didn’t park but if you do pay at reception. Nice selection of sandwiches and cake with a box for take home on request. Tea or coffee although the coffee was strong for DH and top up on request offered water on arrival to cool down as it was hot. Choose not to sit outside but near the terrace windows for breeze, nice loos on the same floor. Steps down to reception but I’m sure there must be a disabled entrance .

We received great service at the hotel, caring but not intrusive and nothing was too much trouble. Food was excellent quality and we hope to repeat this again in the near future. Thanks to everyone at the Royal for making our day so special. Afternoon tea was one of the best we have ever had.
