The Deal
A decadent meal at the five star London Hilton on Park Lane begins with a choice of starter, with options including Pan fried scallops with seaweed, Chinese leaves and ginger Teriyaki beurre blanc (usually £16), king prawns with oyster mushroom and spinach fricasse (£15) or blue cheese panacotta with pear crumble (£12). Mains come in the form of a lamb cutlet with thyme jus and autumnal vegetables (£26), or bouillabaisee of sea bream, red snapper and prawn (£28). Guests should allow room for a choice of dessert, where dishes include Mandarin dark chocolate parfait (£7) or plum and almond tart with vanilla ice cream (£7). A bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon or Chenin Blanc wine (both £23) can also be added into the equation to share.

Many guests praised the chocoholic’s afternoon tea and while some found the atmosphere somewhat busy, others welcomed this buzz to the restaurant.
