The Castle
Surveying a broad expanse of Northumberland countryside from its rocky perch, Bamburgh Castle is a Grade-I listed citadel steeped in nearly one and a half thousand years of history. On arrival, visitors are confronted by the castle's distinctive architecture, which has been featured in countless television shows and films. Venturing inside, guests can explore The Mediaeval Kitchen, opulent King's Hall and a restored library. Elsewhere, collections of antique weaponry, an aviation museum and a showcase of archaeological finds reward closer inspection.
