Thrill-seekers with a willingness to throw themselves from a moving plane can get their kicks with a static line solo jump. Black Knights Parachute Centre will provide participants with six hours of training, covering everything from drop zone orientation and aircraft exiting techniques to body positioning and landing, plus a knowledge review test at the end. Adrenaline aficionados can then make a single jump, taking in the Northern landscape from a unique perspective.
Alternatively, freefallers can choose to embark on a tandem skydive, following a 20-minute briefing with an experienced British Parachute Association instructor. After donning jumpsuits, harnesses, headgear and goggles, daredevils will reach heights of up to 14,000 feet before plummeting at speeds of approximately 120 miles per hour.
