The Deal
Taking to the water in a two-man Canadian-style canoe, paddlers can launch into a guided five-mile trip. Meeting in the car park by Sandy Lane jetty, canoeists will be driven to the start point at Ecclestone. The guided trip will include sights such as tree-lined meadows and riverside abodes, and the first leg of the route will end with an hour's break for lunch in the Red House pub. The return leg will take in Chester suspension bridge and the scenic Groves area.
The Merchant
Providing a fleet of canoes for paddle-powered outings, Chester Kayak Hire lets time float by on the River Dee with rental options and guided tours. Guided tours take in the likes of Chester and Farndon, day expeditions include destinations numbering Erbistock and Montford, while a three-day trip between Pool Quay and Shrewsbury includes camping. Courses providing BCU Star award training are also offered.
