The cars are environmentally friendly and ultra-modern hybrids, with Bluetooth, integrated Sat Nav, and rear parking camera. No keys needed – as a Co-wheels car club member, customers receive their own smartcard, which allows them to book the car online, unlock, and drive away at any time of day. Insurance and fuel are included with paid per-hour hire charge including discounted daily or evening rates. The cars are kitted out with roof mounted bike racks so members can bring their own two wheels transport, or hire when they arrive. Cars are available to pick up at local train stations in Windermere, Oxenholme, Carlisle, Penrith and Staveley.
