About Cotleigh Brewery
Cotleigh Brewery began brewing ale in Devon in 1979 at the old stable block of Cotleigh Farmhouse, near Tiverton. Tawny was their first brew, and it has since remained one of the brewery's more popular beers. The Barn Owl Premium Ale was a champion beer at the Maltings Beer Festival soon after its launch in 1994 - a copper bronzed ale with hints of toffee and vanilla, and a sweet, nutty finish. The dark ale, Buzzard, is traditionally brewed with pale, crystal and chocolate roasted malts and Herefordshire hops. The brewery makes a variety of other beers, with seasonal ales for occasions.
