The iconic First Class Lounge offers electronic reclining sofas and armchairs for ultimate comfort.
Enjoy table service from 7.00pm – 7.40pm daily, with the film starting at 7.50pm, with an extensive selection of drinks and classic cinema favourites delivered straight to your seat.
Our new Platinum Suites screen opened late 2024, and offers electronic sofa and armchair cocoon seating. Evening table service is also available in our Platinum Suites screen 6pm – 6.30pm daily.
About The Dominion Cinema
The only independent and family-run cinema in Edinburgh, The Dominion has been delivering unforgettable movie experiences for more than 87 years.
Opened on 31st January 1938 by Captain W Cameron, the Cinema's first film feature was “Wee Willie Winkie” starring Shirley Temple. Designed in stunning Art Moderne style by architect T. Bowhill Gibson, the venue has evolved to feature four screens and a private screening lounge.

About Dominion Cinema
The Art Deco Dominion Cinema has served its patrons for nearly 85 years. Mainstream releases are screened alongside homegrown and independent films. The cinema’s interior harks back to the golden age of the silver screen with leather seating and a classic, deep-red colour scheme. Four screens host afternoon and evening showings, as well as private functions and events such as The Royal Opera House live screenings.
