The first thing on the list for visitors may be The Markt. Covering an area of almost one hectare, the market is filled with cafes and restaurants that harmoniously mingle with the medieval buildings. Shadowing all other buildings, the imposing clock-tower is one of the most important attractions in Bruges, offering a clear view of the whole city from its 83-meter peak. 

Further on, after wandering through the market, tourists may pay a visit to the Groeninge Museum and witness a bundle of Flemish artwork including two major paintings signed by Jan Van Eyck. In the south part of the city, surrounded by lush woodland, visitors will find Minnewater lake, more commonly known as ‘the Lake of Love’. With swans and flowers found all around the place, the lake proves to be a truly romantic spot worth a visit from couples.
