Alicante is the second most mountainous province in Spain, boasting archaeological sites, secluded valleys, ravines, and a wealth of beaches including Levante and Poniente. In Benidorm, travellers may discover a part of Spanish culture in the Old Town area boasting cobbled streets and old pieces of architecture, or savour local dishes at one of the many restaurants on the Tapas Alley. In the coastal resort of Javea, nightlife opportunities abound in the Arenal and port area, where night owls may pass the time, while adrenaline rushers may enjoy climbing or hiking at the Montgo Natural Park, ranked 1 out of 10 attractions in Javea on Tripadvisor. Costa Blanca has a subtropical Mediterranean climate with around 3000 hours of sunshine per year.
