The Hotel
Overlooking Lake Windermere, the 4* Merewood Country House Hotel is a 19th century abode nestled within 20 acres of landscaped gardens, woodland and meadows.
The hotel’s bedrooms are decorated in soft earthy tones, and come fitted with crisp white linens, plush bedding, aromatic toiletries and fluffy towels.
The on-site restaurant makes use of local produce including Herdwick lamb, spicy Cumberland sausage, freshly caught trout, Morecambe Bay potted shrimps and Cumbrian cheeses to create a varied menu of contemporary British dishes served in either of two dining rooms.
